I'm headed out to look at a grill today. What should I look out for?

Try to get an original. With patience and work, you can get them to come out fine.
Before

After

As far as the grill goes, I wouldn't know but I've bought plenty of Repop parts and almost none of them are as good as original.

For a 69,70 grill it will say Chevrolet in the center crossbar if its original. I believe all of the repops are blank there.

I'm not sure if that's true any more, i think some of the after market guys have bought the rights, or pay chevy, for the right to use the Chevrolet name on the grills. I'd ask before you buy it.

oh, DT1 good job on the resto!!

Re: Difference from Original to Repop

i would say another factor could be thickness/overall quality, of course depending on how high the level of quality is if it is a re-pop
