Cool Check Engine Light

I took the Blazer to have the emissions test done. The mechanic told me the check engine light was on.

HUH???

I gently explained to him that the check engine light not only wasn't on, but it didn't exist in 1972.

Re: Check Engine Light

How much was he gonna charge you to fix it so the light wouldn't come on anymore?

Re: Check Engine Light

My best guess would be the upper bank O2 sensor causing the check engine light to be on.

Re: Check Engine Light

After I told him it didn't have a check engine light, he said, "Well, I had to adjust the carburetor to get it to pass." He still charged me $35.
