Driprail replacement
How hard is it?
It's disappointing, my cab is completely solid, minus the tiny spots in the floor corners, the cab corners themselves are hard as rock, along with rockers and cab supports. My driprails are damn near gone... Anyone have a thread on it? |

Re: Driprail replacement
Not hard at all, Just drill out the spot welds and weld the new ones back on. Although I don't know who makes replacements. I was able to sand blast mine and weld them back on.

Re: Driprail replacement
I got a pair of repro's from Classic industries for $20 a piece. I haven't tried to install them yet so not sure what to expect.

Re: Driprail replacement
I've done donor top replacements without much problems. Sometimes you don't know what there's going on behind the driprail!

Re: Driprail replacement
I agree, I'd replace the whole top. If your driprail is rusted, then the metal it attaches to is going to be rusted also, so you would be doing alot of patching. Replace the top and save some time and work.

Re: Driprail replacement
That's good to know, I originally ordered a set fro ECE but they called me and told me they no longer sold them because they fit like crap. I almost resorted to making myself a set.
