When i saw it i watched it 3 or 4 times in a row. Had to post it because those that did not see it would really appreciate this commercial and what it means.

Yep! Chevy got it with this one. Now if we could only get them to keep all our plants in the USA.

That commericial should be a sticky or something!

I used to work as a mechanic. A good mechanic is going to point out that if you add up all the work a vehicle needs, and it costs more than the what it is worth, it may be time to junk it. Back in the day I saw a guy junk a car with 4 brand new tires we put on a week earlier because his water pump went out. Back then we were doing small block pumps, parts and labor for $100-$125. He junked a perfectly serviceable car for $125.

You know, my truck turns a lot of heads and is fun to drive. However after fishing an eight hour tournament, climbing in my friend's 07 GMC, turning the AC on full blast, hitting just the back part of the seat warmer (think heating pad) sure beats the crap out of my 40 year old truck. And the traction control when in 4wd beats the crap out of my 40 year old posi EVERY time. When I hook up to a dock or boat lift to pull it out I do fine unless something gets hung up. Eventually one tire spins over the other and I dig to China. My pals 07 you just push the foot feed to the floor and let the computer take over. NOTHING spins, you just pull. I'm not saying people will be restoring 2007 GMC pickups in 2047 but they sure work good today.

FWIW, I have seen that commercial and do like it.

I saw it during the game too and told my wife I hoped my son would do that some day. Chevy hit that one out of the park!

I think it would better if he took the truck home and had a nice father/son project.

Re: Awesome new chevy truck commercial....

I can relate but it's the other end of the spectrum. At one time I was going to sell the Circuit Rider but 70cstjr wouldn't have any part with me selling my truck. So I kept the truck and fixed her up and some day because the son refused to accept the sale...the father will some day pass the truck down to his son.

Years ago i had a Tic in my 400. I was concerned and ran it to a shop. The guy wanted to put a 350 crate in it. He said the mains are shot. I declined. It turns out that the tic was because of the leaded to unleaded gas switch. I just adjusted the timing and it has run great for quite a few years afterwards.

I enjoyed the commercial!
