Code P0134

My Jimmy has an intermediate P0134 code. If I leave it alone, the light turns off. All four O2 sensors are new. I'm going to move the reat cat O2 sensor to the Bank 1 Sensor 1 location.

Potential Symptoms
One or more of the following may occur:

Check engine light illumination
Poorly running/engine missing
Blowing black smoke
Poor fuel economy
Dying, stuttering

Causes for code P0134 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

Bad O2 (oxygen) sensor
Bad heater circuit in the O2 sensor
Wiring or connector to the sensor frayed / broken
Blown heater circuit fuse
Holes in the exhaust system
PCM failure

Has anyone had this problem? I wonder if low fuel pressure can cause this code?

I guess it's a bad sensor. I moved rear cat O2 sensor to the Bank 1 Sensor 1 location. After four days of driving no codes. The 4.3 seems a little peppy too. I guess the sensor is just bad. The rear cat O2 sensor is not heated so I doubt any codes will appear for it. If they do, I'll send it back for a replacement.

thats a fairly common code, glad you fixed it sounds like. i like to use sensors from NAPA or NKG .Some sensors are fickle in some vehicles.

The sensors are from NTK (NGK). All four are new. They have a few thousand miles on them. I was worried they would post codes with a Magnaflow cat and muffler. So they far they work great. The best improvement is highway driving. I noticed the difference right away. It picked milage above 20 mpg. I need to take it on a long run. I think it could hit 23 MPG.

you have to be careful when you install those sensors too, they can get cracked and go bad fast.
