Re: Look At This Disgustingness
If Chevy engines are so bad, how come 90% of Furd hot rods have Chevy engines?

Re: Look At This Disgustingness
Those poor Fix Or Repair Daily guys have serious issues with reality! They actually think a fard engine is better than a Chevy! Does Furd put drugs in their cars and trucks that will cause such crazy talk? It's truly bizarre that anyone would actually think that way!

Re: Look At This Disgustingness
I think that is a late model vortex engine either 5.3 or 4.8 you can tell by the water pump and timing cover set up

Re: Look At This Disgustingness
Rover block is based on aluminum V8 Buick from around 1965. It was a flop for Buick but Rover liked the idea and bought the rights.

Re: Look At This Disgustingness
Quote:
Rover bought the engine from GM after GM quit using it for the '64 models, when they introduced the new small v8 cast iron engines in the mid-sized bodies that were the F-85/Cutlass and the Special/Skylark. These were 300 cubic inch engines, which grew to the 330, 340 and 350 cubic inch displacements as time passed. Rover also converted them from carburation to fuel injection, in the later years that they used it. But, it wasn't a bad engine....was way better than the Corvair, even though I have owned a Spyder convertible.

Re: Look At This Disgustingness
I like the functionality of it as it doubles as wine storage and the way it contrasts with the richness of the wood cabinet to accentuate the color of the pillows and ... ahhh jeeez! I need to stop watchin HGTV!

Re: Look At This Disgustingness
Maybe a reality check is in order. If you want one by all means do one.Just do it out of a plastic mock up engine. That way the wife can move it when she wants to change the furniture around. No sense in her having to clean the carpet after moving the engine hoist around in the living/family room.
