Manifold cleaning.
Hey what do you guys do to clean a aluminum manifold thats off the engine. Do you tape up the holes and spray something on it or do you take it down and have it tanked.

Best thing is have it glass beaded, but finding a place to do it may be a problem.
Last time I had mine off, I used carb/choke cleaner. Cleaned it pretty good.

get a die grinder or dremel and some polish and make it nice and shiny.
Or if you don't have the time or desire to go through all that work, then you can use a wire brush on it if it's really nasty and gummed up. then just use degreaser on it but make sure it's washed off before you paint it. paint won't stick to carb cleaner or degreaser.
