HOW ON EARTH, is this fixable!!
Hey everyone Im in process of a resto on my '68 C-10 and ran into a few snags. Some rust in unwanted places. Here in MN it is all to common. Any help on how to repair this or are these parts available aftermarket would be such a HUGE help to a newbie such as myself. The bottom pic is of my rear coil spring mount at the frame and the top pic is, im sure all you guys know, is the front upper a-arm tower. Im running out of ideas on how to fix/repiar these. Im an excellent welder, so metal fab wont be a problem if need be. Any pics of your repairs if you've run into this would be a tremendous help.Im pretty new to this site and I really appreciate all the help I have been getting so far!!

contact some of the guys that have put in Dropmembers, and raised rear kits. They take those crossmembers out.

What Rob said. I am sure you can find someone with a good replacement piece on a truck that could be going to the junk yard. The only PIA is the removing the factory rivets, they suck!!

Re: HOW ON EARTH, is this fixable!!
I would want to look over the rest the frame real good if the rust is that bad in those places. I would think matl. thickness everywhere on the frame would be a concern.
