BBC header help needed
I've been beating the hell out of the search function trying to find a pair of headers that are going to work on our 67. It's dropped 3.5 in the front and 6 in the rear. What are you guys having luck with? We have the ECE extreme dropped crossmember if that will help out any. It's tight and I don't want to buy two or three saets , I was hoping someone finally found a pair that worked for the lowered trucks.

Re: BBC header help needed
I have Hedman part number 68610 headers on mine with a Porterbuilt dropmember. Drivers side fit real well, passenger side needed a little work. Let me know if you want more pics.

Re: BBC header help needed
How low are they vs the lowest portion of the frame?

Re: BBC header help needed
My Sandersons were designed to stay between the upper and lower flanges on the frame so the entire exhaust, with the exception of the dumps stays between the frame rails from front to back.

I'm always curious on various brand headers as to what fits & does not hang below the frame. You never know when you'll come across a good deal somewhere when you know several possible options.

Re: BBC header help needed
Having just replaced a set of big block 2x4 headers on my K30 I can tell you that the 4x4 headers are tucked up a LOT tighter. Exhaust tucks up in the frame rails nicely. The 2x4 headers have the pipes underneath the t-case crossmember and the 4x4 lets them route over the crossmember. That would be another option that I don't know if has been tried. 73-87 4x4 big block headers on a 67-72 2x4 big block truck.
