Evercoat polyflex to smooth dash pad for paint?
What should I use to smooth my dash pad to paint? Ive been thinking about trying Evercoat polyflex. I set a straight edge on it and wouldnt be over an 1/8 where the bolts bow the pad down.

I have used it and others since they came out. All kinds of rigid plastic parts, bumpers and metal but not too sure how well it would last on a dash. Just would not beat on it during road rage otherwise it would probably work but don't know for certain. You may check this out on other forums where they do a lot of lowrider work. They smooth out just about everything on the inside on some. A guy used to work for us and KingPin Customs in Dickinson Tx doing that stuff. I can ask him 1/8" seems kind of thick however |

A lot of people use fiberglass for its strength and then filler or glazing putty [2 component] to fill in the minor imperfections and air holes.
