help..

so i bought some 2inch drop spindles on ebay they say they are for 60-87 chevy trucks and say they just need 73-up upper ball joints and 73-up outer tie rods..sooo i pick them up i have a 70 c10 with 72 disc brakes on it my calipers and rotors swapped in and i swapped the upper ball joints and put the outer tie rods in... problems i am having...

-lower a arm is hitting my wheel and so is the outer tie rod perch
-outter tie rod has bigger threads than the older style adjuster sleeve

basically what do i need to do to make this work? inner outer tie rods adjuster sleeves and a centerlink? lower a arms???

Re: help..

On the tie rod adjuster, I would give CPP a call. They have billet aluminum ones to adapt just about anything to anything and they look/work way better. They helped me out with a similar issue.

Re: help..

This seems to be the problem with suppliers like that. I'm not dissing you for what you bought, but it makes me happy to know that what I bought from ECE was all designed to work with OEM stuff.

But, swapping parts and making stuff work is what hot rodding is all about...and always has been.
