Truckin' over Skyline Drive - Awesome Trip

Skyline Drive was a breeze. The 4 hours there in a our non-AC truck and 100*+ heat was not so awesome. But here's a few pics:

Skyline is a great ride. 100 degree's in where ant going to be very fun without AC! Love riding up there though. Never took the truck though! Thanks for the pictures.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Truckin' over Skyline Drive - Awesome Trip

No AC was the way my old man had us do it. I never lived in a house or had a car with AC until I moved out. It sure as hell was motivation to move out and get a decent job tho.

Neat pics! Thx

Re: Truckin' over Skyline Drive - Awesome Trip

Here's a few more. The truck did fine over the hills. We broke 3000 miles since we got the truck in April. Unfortunately, those uphill climbs at 35mph in the quiet woods forced me to admit that I have an exhaust leak that needs tending to. The second picture was at the final destination, my uncle's 150 year old cabin near Floyd, VA. The garage filled with old cars belongs to a friend of theirs. He had about 50 beautifully restored rides in there including the blue 71 Cheyenne, a 1956 Apache (sorry, no pic) and the blue chevy truck that you can barely see in the background (can't remember what year).

Wink Re: Truckin' over Skyline Drive - Awesome Trip

Those are some nice rides. It's surprising how many people out there have a collection of cars that no one ever see's unless like this!

Ha. That's funny. My best friend works there. The wife and I hit the road in Virginia at 5:30am that morning just to make Roburritos in time for lunch! Thanks for the compliments. It's pretty much original with exception of paint (still original color), some rust repairs, and the wood bed. And the HEI I put in it a few weeks ago.

I wouldn't say I'm in York a lot, but I do get out there see the bud every now and again.

PS. that red one of yours is pretty nice too. Good job.

Re: Truckin' over Skyline Drive - Awesome Trip

Thanks. Roburritos is awesome. We eat there every chance we get.

We drove up to Centralia Pa a couple weekends ago. Its a nice drive up there. Its crazy to see what Centralia once was and what it looks like today. Pretty sad. Ashville is a nice town too. We wanted to visit the coal mine there but it was closed by the time we got there.

That truck looks great....I love the dark green! I just picked up a glove box door and gauge cluster that color. Never seen it on a truck...and with white it looks classy and sassy.
