No, Andy ....I did actually flip the axle(then it sat too low! lol). I opted to move the spring perches down on the frame to raise it up a tad, but no notches on the frame. I cant haul too much with the old gal, but she is fun rowin gears The ride is good with the 4 leaf stack (about like a lite 1/2 ton truck). The bed floor is treadplate steel(14guage, with 1/8 wall tube runners), with a battery under the box, & a 16 gal fuel cell behind the rear diff, that puts a littl weight back where its needed. You might say I CAN haul a lawn mower, or a stack of 2x4"s, but thats about it. I have to get the 02 Silverado out for the haulin duties crazyL

Do a little measure, you might be able to flip the diff, & leave the stock stack alone. My bet is that you will need to relocate the spring hangers to get the height you want. Also with medium /heavy hauling, you will probably need the notch in the frame. mine was all grunt work.....not money crazy AL

Re: What springs do I remove ?

I left the top three leafs in my c/20. I am debating whether adding one more. For now, I am going to install air shocks to give back a little hauling capacity. Right now, it rides like a cadillac. Also, I flipped the axle and installed C-notches.

Re: What springs do I remove ?

Thanks guys I removed the middle 3 and it looks and rides like a dream, I left the three flat springs on the bottom so I can still haul stuff. All of your info has helped a ton and I will post a pic soon.
