I found a almost perfect hood at the wrecking yard today

I took a load of scrap iron down to the scrap yard today, and since it's also a pick & pull, I took a look around after and found a hood off a '67 that will be perfect for my '68 pick up. Don't get me wrong-it needs cleaned up and re-painted, but not a mark on it:

Except for this-two little bumps, one on each side, that I had a heck of a time figuring out how they got there:

(Kinda hard to see-it's the little rusty spot)

As I started taking out the bolts to remove it from the truck it was on, I got to thinking, Boy-I don't remember these bolts being so long-winded. Then it hit me. Some PO used these bolts and they were just a hair too long and pointy, and they made the little pokey-out dents:

I figure I can run in a blunt ended bolt until it stops and apply a few taps and that should take care of the problem

Well worth the 50 bucks, at any rate!
