Question 1969 C10 lower control arms

Hello everyone, I once saw a post of someone cutting the ball joint section of the lower control arm and welding an extension to it a couple of inches up to lower the truck, has anyone done anything like this? can anyone direct me to any postings like that?

Re: 1969 C10 lower control arms

It's "old-school" technology and no longer the preferred method, but here's a link: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=311691

If you're doing bags, it'd be better to cup the arm because you can reinforce it. If you're going static, drop spindles are a better option.
