quick question, need help
Okay, I got my new fuel pump that came with 3 gaskets (same style and thickness), and I got some gasket sealer. My question is do I put gasket sealer on the pump, then put the gasket on, and put gasket sealer on top of the gasket as well? And how many gaskets should I use? 1, 2, or all 3?

Re: quick question, need help
One gasket, clean all the mating surfaces good, a small amount of sealer would be ok on each piece. I don't use any sealer on a fuel pump. just good clean surfaces.

Re: quick question, need help
So NO sealer on the pump, just between the gasket and the block? And only ONE gasket, correct?

Re: quick question, need help
A little grease on that rod will help hold it up. Sounds like you're kinda new at this stuff. Just take your time, don't rush it. Your welcome

Re: quick question, need help
Clean both surfaces real well and no sealer is needed. That's what the gasket is for.
