Lower control arm shafts

I'm trying to put my lower control arms back together after I blasted them and painted them. I'm using the old shafts for the lowers, I bought new ones but I cant get the nuts to thread in. So I cleaned up the old ones and im just going to use them. I was able to get the right side completed, Nuts tight up to the LCA and I'm able to rotate the center shaft.
Different story on the other side, I can get the Nuts about half way in and the center shaft binds right up and I cant move it. After two hours of messing with it my Arms were so dead I had to quiet for the night.

Also what is the Torque some on said 160 for the old ones but I can't even budge the completed side to that number.

thanks

Re: Lower control arm shafts

The only way I was able to reassemble mine, the way I felt was safe, was to buy Moog brand only. I tried new shafts, caps, and all. I finally bought new Moog shafts and it went together like butter. Good luck
