2500HD, rear end bucks like a wild bull in powder sand
The area I live in you will get stuck quicker when it is dry than when wet. We have what I call "sugar" sand and when my 2500HD looses traction in it I get a serious buck from the rear. Is this normal?
A customer brought his 2500HD in (D-max) but his is 4 wheel drive, his did it until he put it in 4wd then no more bucking.

That sounds typical if I understand correctly.

The factory limited slip is junk and its problems are intensified by sand. Change it out to a more durable unit and if the shocks have more than 50-60,000 miles on them change those out as well.

In sand or "powder"... any rear end will hop under load in a big heavy truck without traction devices.

As far as "work" trucks go I have always had either Dodge or Ford diesel's. The 1/2 ton Chevy's have never worked like this 2500 does that I have. Tough truck, just stay out of the sand!
