Sold the 50th

As the title reads I sold my 50th today.. I now no longer own any 67-72 chevy trucks . time to move on to the next chapter in my life restoring my chevelle so you all have fun with your trucks... So long i will be in alternative tinkerings from time to time so i will be on here still just not with a truck.. the truck went to Wisconsin this morning..

Re: Sold the 50th

Sad to see her go and no longer have you here on the message board but understand about moving on to other projects. Hope she went to a good owner/home. Enjoyed reading your posts and viewing your pics over the years, so I have to ask - what did you do with the other sets of wheels you had for her? If I recall you had a set of silver rally's and a set of the skinny stockers with dogdish caps. Hope you can provide a link to the build thread of your Chevelle. Good luck!!

I started working on it today making Goodguys next year maybe a bit of a lofty goal.... Since I have quarters, doors, fenders, trunk floor, and a complete frame off resto to do .. Also Chip Foose and the overhaulin team don't live at my house. It's me against the world

Maybe that Motor needs a repaint.....I'm thinking a 50th C10 Gold would look good, ;-), looking forward to following along on your Chevelle build.

Re: Sold the 50th

Funny I have toyed with the idea of selling my pro-streeter to fund my 67 fastback build. Problem is I can't get enough out of my truck to make it worth while. Everything is in the running gear.

'72 is the last year of the Chevelle as far as I'm concerned. I actually like the single headlights over the '70s dual. They are nice riding, full frame cars. Should be fun. At the risk of hate mail, your shovel is a better investment even though cars/turcks are usually NOT good investments. It's when you sell your ride and don't have another one that stings! Just glad to here you are not starting on the Honda or Toyota!!! lol

Re: Sold the 50th

I agree that 72 was the last year for the Chevelle after that they made good dirt track cars... Nothing against trucks but probably never going to worth as much as muscle cars... I will probably have another 68 some day but not for a while...
