September 2011 TOTM

The Truck of the Month (TOTM) contest theme for September is:

Living in Suburbia!

In case you cannot guess, this month is dedicated to the Suburban. So in order to compete in this month’s contest you will need to meet these criteria.
  • Open to all year Chevy and GMC Suburbans. No Yukons or Tahoes.
  • The must be together and able to move on its own power.
  • The truck has to be licensed for street use.
  • If a truck was selected as a 2010 or 2011 TOTM winner then you are ineligible. If you were nominated but were not selected as a TOTM winner then you may be nominated and compete in this month's category.

To Nominate:

You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the year of the truck, and any other specs of the truck (interior details, engine/drive train specs) that you may want to provide.

Nominees will run through August 24. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. I normally use 1 picture showing a good front-side view and 1 with a rear view of the vehicle in the voting threads. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up by August 25 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The Poll will run thru the morning of September 1 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the afternoon of September 1. The announcement of the TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

Re: September 2011 TOTM

It was a hard choice between a couple of my favorites but I had to nominate LT1 Burb. An absolutely gorgeous 66 with (you guessed it) an LT1.

Re: September 2011 TOTM

Here are a few quick ones I have. I'm going to drive it today and get some "non-driveway/garage pics" to prove it on the road.
Some specs...
72 GMC, 402BBC, March performance Revolver series pulley setup, Porterbuilt front and rear drop members (and pretty much everything else he sells...hood hinges, AC/heater delete panels, etc), Baer brakes, Accuair system, Scott's Hotrods under dash booster/master cylinder, no limit billet dash with carbon fiber autometer gauges, billet specialties steering wheel, Ididit tilt column, Lokar floor shifter, Entropy aluminum radiator with dual 14" SPAL fans, completely smoothed firewall. All done in 4 months in my driveway or in my garage. I think that's almost everything...
