67 cab mounts
Hey all,
I'm new here. I have a 67 short wide. I've tore it all the way down, sand blasted everything and now going back together. With the cab mounts I got from Classic industries, the cab doesnt line up. It's about 3/4 inch lower than the bed. Anyone have any sugestions? |

Is your truck a C-10 (1/2 ton), or C-20 (3/4 ton). It sounds like you have a 3/4 ton truck and got a 1/2 ton cab mount kit. Any pictures of the mounts after the install? Oh, and to the board... LockDoc

Re: 67 cab mounts
It is a half ton. Before the tear down the cab and bed lined up. I reposted the question with a little more info. What exactly do you need pics of to see what I am talkin about? The mount perch? W/ or W/o cab on?

Re: 67 cab mounts
a pic of the rear mount on the frame and your rubber mounts should do.

Re: 67 cab mounts
Here are the pics. There is a white spacer in there. With the spacer the cab is about 3/8-7/16 inch higher than the bed.

Re: 67 cab mounts
Those are definitly 1/2 ton frame mounts. The pads they sent you must be the wrong ones for the rear cab. Maybe someone has a pic of a 1/2 ton mount they can post.

Re: 67 cab mounts
I don't know what to do with it. I can take out the rubber pads for the bed but that will only give me an 1/8 inch. Those white plastic spacers are just over an inch. The strange thing is that with the spacers in, the core support and fenders line up with the mounts supplied in the kit.

Re: 67 cab mounts
If you used the standard set everyone sells for 1/2 ton with the rad mounts included it is labled 67-72 but the rad mounts are 69-72 so if you have used them your front end is sitting to high 67-68 takes thinner bushings. Also I have junked a blue million of these trucks and never seen pads under the bed from the factory. Hope this helps

Re: 67 cab mounts
I was mistaken about the core support mounts. They are spaced too. It's been too long sence i messed with it. I'll try to get more pics on here.
It is a 67 1/2 ton 2WD |

Re: 67 cab mounts
FYI, Problem solved! I ordered a new set of cab mounts from Brothers Trucks. They fit correctly and the bed and cab line up.
