Want do you think?
Just started putting my 64 chop top back together and wanted opinions on the color.
Thanx

Re: Want do you think?
Unbelievably striking! You'll certainly never lose it in a parking lot or car show. Can't wait to see it together, I love chopped tops.

Re: Want do you think?
I like it but not with your current wheel combo. It needs wide whites and steelies IMO or other 50-60's custom wheels to carry ot the theme.

Re: Want do you think?
Custom wheels I would do these with white walls. Good 60's show car look to go with that color.

Re: Want do you think?
The Latin word lucifer means "shining one"
You could name your truck "The Shining One"

Wait! Hold-On!
Are you planning on putting Fleetside Tailights in those fenders?

Re: Want do you think?
Fleetside tailights came with the truck...it was a longbox fleet when I got it.
The tailights were good so I used em.

Re: Want do you think?
that color is really nice. Now if it were a wide bed, I'd say add a white or black stripe and roof - but being a stepside, not sure what, if any, accent could possibly make it look better. Really like that gold.
As for the wheels, the ones you have look good I think - but I too an a stock steelie fan. At least you can fit disks! If you were to go steelies - I'd vote solid black steelie with no center cap or trim ring at all - and wide whites. But I'm just sayin. Again - truck looks great, can't wait to see it put together! Edit - ACTUALLY, I think some heavy 60's pinstriping with black steelies and www's would look killer. just sayin. |

Re: Want do you think?
Thanks for all the feedback,
The mini tubs are actually trailer fenders, you can get many sizes and they are very reasonable. I will post some early pictures that show the truck in early stages later today Luc

Re: Want do you think?
Its a 2 1/2 inch chop. I put the seats I was going to use in the truck and sat in it measuring the removeable headroom and came up with 2 1/2 inches.
Will post pics of the chop later. Regards

Re: Want do you think?
Pics for CaptainFab
I posted a few pics in progress from arrival to back from body shop. I did the chop myself and its pretty straight forward. Because I only dropped it 2 1/2 I didn't need the second cut (longitudinal) in the roof and the A pillars were only out by 3/8.
