8 lug 2wd lift spindles

I really like the vintage pre runner look and ware i live it would be fun to cruise a pre runner around..

I saw dino's tread on his 66 pre runner and i think i want sort of the same thing. I can weld and fabricate so most of the stuff would not be hard for me to do.

my truck is a 3/4 1972 gmc
i want to keep the 8 lug (something diffrent) the ideas i have rolling around in my brain will all seam to workout well except for one thing.

lift spindles -- i know i can use the stock or (tubular aftermarket) 67-72 control arms.

the afermarket makes lift spindles for 88+ 6 lug 3/4 ton then they make lift spindles for 2001-11 8 lug 3/4-

my question is would it be possible to mount the later lift spindles (01-11)

Re: 8 lug 2wd lift spindles

Well nrb,
I'm sorry you did not get any replies. I have a '66 GMC 3/4 2wd and I want to do the same thing (and convert the front disc to drums at the same time). Did you ever come up with any solution?
