68 c20 to c10
ok. newbie here.
just got my 68 c20 yesterday.it is 8 lug all round with trailing arms. my plan is a 5 lug disc swap on front and 5 lug rear. if i find a donor truck from 73-87, is the rear going to be the exact width? do i cut the perches off of the existing rear or do they sell aftermarket perches for the new rear end? what rear is in truck now? huge pumpkin. any value? |

Re: 68 c20 to c10
ECE (www.earlyclassic.com) sells new spring perches so you can install a 73-87 rearend.
You will also need a Super Track Bar so you can center the rearend. (the 73-87 housing will not have an attachment point for the track bar) ECE also sells a conversion spindle that will be a direct bolt in for your C20 ball joints and outer tie rods. These spindles allow to you install C10 rotors and calipers. These make switching to 5-lug up front super simple. So really all you need is a rearend. 71-72 would be a bolt in 5-lug. Really no need to find a donor truck. Ha.

To the right person, yes. I suggest putting it on Craigslist and see if it will sell.
