limited tool options
Hey folks!! I’ve been working on my 71 Chevy SWB since February... Started off as a SWB GMC and a long bed Cheyenne.. I am in the process of doing body work at the moment. I am very limited as I do not own a compressor or air tools.. I have some buddies with big ones at home. Since I don’t have a lot of time I usually go up and straighten out a little metal at a time... The problem is I need to prime these spots.. I’m getting really close to buying what they call automotive primer in a can and later on spraying some high build over it... So this a total no-no?

Re: limited tool options
Protect it as well as you can from the moisture in the air.....primer may absorb it.

Re: limited tool options
Primer is relatively porous and does not provide protection. It is intended to promote bonding between the substrate material and the topcoat.
