Bottoms Up
I wanting to position my cab so I can do some clean up and blasting on the underside. Is it ok to lay a bare cab on its back? I know most of the weight seems to be in the front end of the cab and I wasn't sure if it could distort the cab by laying it down. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks....Stroker

cab flip
I just did mine . The seat was out so all I did was bolt a 4x4 post across the floor all the way across the cab using the front bolt holes for the seat (4 holes). The 4x4 has to be pretty long . Then use saw horses on each side to hold it up . Then the cab will rotate forward or back but be careful because the cab is top heavy & will flip easily . The bolts should be about 5-6 inches & grade 5 or use a steel bar instead of a 4x4 . Also I thought of using a 4-6 " piece of foam ! Good luck !!

I had mine laying on it's back a few times before I put it on the truck, everything fit together nice.

Nope as long as your real gental laying it down, and you don't put any extra weight on it while it's on it's back then you should be fine....

We lay them on their back on a piece of 4" foam all the time with no problems.

They also balance pretty well when tipped up onto the firewall. Mine has spent lots of time in this position and on its back. If you've got good paint and/or a rough floor, throw down a blanket or a big piece of foam and you'll be all set.
