Need HELP identifying a frame!
I have a 49-50 GMC pick up that was a resto-mod prior to my buying it. Trying to figure out what type of GM frame it sits on.
I was hoping one of the gurus from the forum may have some knowledge they could pass to me. I have attached a picture of the #s from the frame that is directly under the door of the passenger side. The same number is also under the door of the driver side. |

Re: Need HELP identifying a frame!
Looks like a 73-87 chassis. I could be wrong, but you've got A arms up front and leaf in the back so that's my guess. Are the front fenders and grill on the truck?

Re: Need HELP identifying a frame!
One way to tell; stick the front fenders on and if the wheels stick out close to or beyond the fender lip it's a 73-87. Those frames are too wide for the AD trucks.

G'day Creative,
I'm sorry but I can't help with your question, but she looks like it has a nice cab in place on it! What are your plans for the truck? Regards, Trently. |

Re: Need HELP identifying a frame!
We're using the original wheels and skinny tires up front in hopes to clear the front fenders.
