Hydro-Boost: Rebuild or Remanufactured
My hydro-boost on my crew cab is leaking, Should I rebuild it or just buy a re-manufactured? Where is a good place to get a rebuild kit? How hard are they to rebuild?

Re: Hydro-Boost: Rebuild or Remanufactured
Can't speak for rebuild kits, but i replaced my hydroboost with a re-manufactured unit, and about 5 months later its still operating just fine. I noticed my pedal has more travel, and stops alot easier. You're probably going to want to save both pushrods though (master cylinder and brake pedal).

Re: Hydro-Boost: Rebuild or Remanufactured
I replaced mine with a new Federated unit. It was cheaper after the core charge than a rebuit unit. I haven't had any problems with the Hydroboost since I put it on last fall.

Re: Hydro-Boost: Rebuild or Remanufactured
I guess I am just going to pull mine apart and see what needs fixed and then find a rebuild kit if it just needs new seals.

Re: Hydro-Boost: Rebuild or Remanufactured
They are real simple units and easy to rebuild, so if you can find seals, you'll save a few bucks.
