8 track player brackets - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I was wanting to see pictures of the brackets that mount the player. I have the L shaped brackets and when I try to mount it the throttle pedal bracket and the heater box get in the way so I would like to see how they are mounted I've searched and can't find a clear picture. I know the right side mounts to the bolt that holds the heater/ac controller.

I only have 2 brackets what does the third one look like? I would like to see how they are mounted the pictures in the search are not that clear. Also where does the silver amp box mount?

There are 2 L brackets and one bracket that attaches to the right side that bolts to the heater ducts and acts as a brace. Trevor

yeah I have that bracket but when i go to try to bot it up it doesnt want to fit because of the throttle pedal bracket. Trevor do you have any pictures of your 8 tracks mounted

I made my own for my tape player. i havent even seen what the original brackets look like so i would like to see pic's as well. ttt

I don't have any pics mounted, but I can bolt the brackets to one of my decks and take pics in the mounted position for you. I will try over the weekend if that's ok... I am working two jobs currently. Trevor

Did they work for ya Dewayne, I wasn't sure if I got the holes quite exact. The brackets though should be 100% accurate to my set. Trevor

The brackets are in my office as I need to get my 8 track painted first. Ever since the Ohio met I have been very busy and have been burning my candles at both ends so hopefully... I soon can catch up and get some of my fun stuff done.
