Delay wipers don't work
On my 85 the delay wipers don't work. I have tried three different modules. I was told they were good, but don't have another vehicle to test them on. I tested the resistance of the delay switch and have a range of 50 to 500 K Ohms which is were it should be according to my research.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the wipers or any ideas where the problem may be?

Re: Delay wipers don't work
The only ones I have ever seen were fixed by replacing the module. Are you sure that the motor itself is ok?

Re: Delay wipers don't work
It works in both low and high speeds and the mist function works, just not delay.
I believe the wipers run in low speed when on the delay, I'm wondering if the switch is not powering the low speed circuit when the delay is on. I need to search for a wiring diagram.

I attached the 1989 R/V square body pulse wiper schematic. I can't guarantee the colors are the same from 1984-1991. I don't have a schematic for the pulse module itself. Last edited by hatzie; 10-04-2011 at 09:46 AM. |

Re: Delay wipers don't work
Hatzie,
That diagram is what I was looking for. Now I just need to find a little time to troubleshoot the system. Thanks Jason
