Slop in front wheels
I am curious as to the best way to approach slop in my front tires. What I mean is that they have some wiggle room when the front is off the ground.
Would this be best rectified by replacing the bushings for the steering components or buying a whole new set? Also, do any of you use a steering dampner? If so, is there any difference then w/o one? Thanks.

Re: Slop in front wheels
You have to determine where the "slop" is coming from. Loose wheel bearings, tie rods, idler, ball joints, etc...The entire front susension doesn't have to be rebuilt if one component has too much play. Make sure you take the tension off the lower control arm to properly test the ball joints and upper control arm bushings.
