Hi Everyone,

I need to install a cab on to the frame. Do you have any suggestions as to how to align it so all the body panels fit nice.

subscribe. I believe that fitting the cab would have to coincide with the installation of the front end and the bed. Theres not a lot of movement available with either end nor the cab. semi tighen all of the above and then start fitting everything together. Just guessing though because I have not reached that point yet.

Call an Indian Guru and learn patience.It's a tedious process to get everything aligned to the point most find acceptable.These trucks are 40 years old,have been around the block and brand new didn't have great door/fender etc. gaps.I haven't done one of these trucks but the older rides I have helped with took careful looking and moving adjusting and shimming.Most body men figure a lot of hours for this process so don't expect it to fall right into place.

If you have a 3/4 ton frame make sure you have the correct cab mount bushings, they are different than 1/2 ton.

We bolt down the cab careful not to over torque, then we align the front clip to the cab and the bed last. Like said above it is a slow process with a lot of looking, shimming and adjusting.

We have found it is hard to get a perfect fit, but is possible to get an acceptable fit, with a lot of patience.
