Re: tbi-carb
I know with my 454 tbi, it is adapted to a spreadbore intake. So in theory, you could change the distributor to a vacuum advance coil in cap, stick a spreadbore or squarebore with adapter plate on the intake. The most work would be in the fuel system. You would have to regulate the fuel pressure way down to get the electric pumps to work. It would almost be easier to put carb sending units in with an inline pump and regulator for a carb.
As to the computer, it is my understanding that the 5.7 has a different computer than the 7.4. If you have any questions about that pm RFMaster on this site, or go to www.tbichips.com. You can definitely get the info you need from either one of these guys. Good luck! |
