SBC headers with A/C

I'd like to find a decent set of headers that I wont have to bang up, ding, or otherwise and can easily fit with the A/C compressor and all other stock power components.
Im coming from a 1st-2nd gen Nova/ChevyII background so thats why Im asking about true fitment. Unless you bought some Hooker 2243's you were bound to have issues and even then may need to ding a tube.
Not looking for major power as the 350 will probably never see more than 400HP. (currently 300) Id prefer some full lengths.......

Re: SBC headers with A/C

On my 84 I used my factory A/C bracket, but chopped up some fo the extra metal off of it, when I put headers on the truck. The front bolt to the stock manifold was used again, but I made a spacer to take up the length of the old manifold and everything fits good.

Which headers did you use? Keep looking at the coated Summit's since I dont want to spend 500 on a set

Re: SBC headers with A/C

There is some good info in the thread below. The original ad is gone from ebay but I am sure you can still find them on there somewhere.

Re: SBC headers with A/C

I have the ceramic coated headers that Cyclone used to sell. I am not sure if they still do. Mine are over 13 years old and are still in good shape. I don't drive the truck as much as I used to.

I would say that in these days a set of coated headers for $500.00 is not all that bad. You do get what you pay for. I am putting s set of Kooks coated headers on my 2011 daily driver and you really do not want to know what they are selling for.

Looking at Summit Racing, what is wrong with this set???http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G9006-9/
