Re: 63 kustom pick up on graigs list chopped
That's actually kind of wild looking. Took a few minutes to notice he also lowered the front wheel wells (and maybe the rears?) giving it a kind of Buck Rogers look. It has the most severely chopped roof I've ever seen on one of these trucks. It must have been a nightmare getting that windshield fitted. It's nice to see it has glass in it. A lot of chopped tops never make it to completion because of glass problems.

Re: 63 kustom pick up on graigs list chopped
maybe has a sub frame or another frame altogether? the front wheels look too far back, the piece in between the front of the wheel well and the front bumper looks 2x bigger..the box looks to be a long cut to a short with that massive rear overhang?
chopped so much ,it looks like it needs a 5 inch section to get things back in proportion... would like to see if that is real glass or plexi... from what I have heard 3 inches is all you can go and still be able to use the stock glass cut down, that looks like a 5 inch chop.

To each his own.....
Personally, I think Chevy nailed the look of the trucks perfectly from the factory, so wild custom 60-66s don't do much for me. Again, to each his own. It looks like somebody has a lot of hours into that truck.

Re: 63 kustom pick up on graigs list chopped
I can't quite tell if that actually sucks or not.....an if it does.....I can't tell jes how much it does suck.
That's the question.... That'd sure suck if it did suck. A whole bunch of effort might've gone into somthin that sucks.....if it does. I gotta eat somethin. I'm probly too tired to tell about that flat black truck an if it sucks.

Ok, I'll be the odd man out and admit I'm kinda diggin it. You certainly can accuse the owner of having a belly-button car!!
I think it looks like it maybe the cousin of the Green Hornet car!! Keith |

Re: 63 kustom pick up on graigs list chopped
soon probably , they don't like people bashing stuff....
however these are just opinions, and with a custom a vehicle is open to all sorts of interpretation and opinion. for instance I do like the chop. also check out the under hood shot... that A arm looks way higher and closer to the v8 than a stock c/10, and check out the steering column...kinda takes a weird route. looks like the late model master cylinder is bolted at an angle (63's have an angle bolt pattern, straight by 64...)I have a non running 63 that I did that with, but I will fix it before it is a runner....
