Re: WHat did you get done 10/16/11 edition
Got my truck loaded on the trailer and ready to back to the transmission shop. Should be done this week. Then it goes back to my dads place where it'll get cab floors, rockers and cab corners. After that's done we'll work on setting the fuel cell in and rework the rear suspension, including caltracs. Going to be a great winter project.

Re: WHat did you get done 10/16/11 edition
made it thru another sunday brunch at work! I usually only cook for 50 people each meal, lunch and dinner but our every third Sunday brunch includes the whole campus, so 4 of us prep, cook, carve and other feed almost 1000!
Ask me this question on my days off, Thursday and Friday, and my answer would be completely different. Steve |

Re: WHat did you get done 10/16/11 edition
I spent most of the day replacing the driver side window motor. What a PIA! I was able to easily get the thing off once, I put it back on, then it wouldn't come off unless I removed the entire actuator. Getting the SOB back and the window re-installed took most of my time.
I had planned on replaceing a blown collector gasket and fixing the stripped out intake mounting hole for the carb.

Got some more done on the interior, dash pad put in and polished the lenses on the gauges. Sunday yard clean up, took out the water cooler and found some material to make a radio blank plate for the truck. So I got distracted from mowing the back lawn Wife will never notice.............
Wife says I get ADD from that truck Looks like a good place to put the fuel tank switch when I get that far |

Re: WHat did you get done 10/16/11 edition
Not a lot left for me to do but I got a few minor things done. Went down to the hardware store and got me some new screws that were missing in the dash and door panels. Got a minor dent to pop on my hood but there is another one that needs some work. Found a minor leak, planning on getting it fixed within a week or two. It's nothing serious so it does not need to be fixed right away. Fixed some sealing on the back windshield. Inspected my door window seals and found they are starting to fall apart so I'll need to get some new sealing for them. Also cleaned the cab carpet but that's something I do normally. It has been raining on and off since last month so we have been tracking some mud into the cab.

I tinted the tail lights on my TBSS , removed the grille on my 84 to recondition it today and repaired the wiring to a fuel gauge on a 66 GMC that my uncle has restored.

Re: WHat did you get done 10/16/11 edition
Made a run to the not so local pull a parts. Got some more f-body regulators to sell and some other interior parts for them that are usually fast sellers. Picked up a chevy and gmc 73/74 grills as well. $40 for both grills.....
My main mission was to find a nice 60/40 seat or a new a/c controller for my '98. Struck out all day on any parts for it. Every GMT400 I came to was stripped....
