jet change in q-jet 4brl
so I have been thinking of switching carbs, as you all might now from reading my post, the q-jet I have on the truck is from 1972 and was rebuilt the same time the motor was done a year ago. Seems to run fine. I did take the jets out to inspect and one jet looks a little worn ant the tip and kinda has a slight bend to the entire jet. Are there replacement jets availble and can I get away with a bigger jet to increase hp ... if so could you guys put me in the right direction on where to order them from or part #'s

Re: jet change in q-jet 4brl
Bigger jet do not always translate to more HP. Sometime it can actually hurt response and overall performance. If you don't have an A/F monitoring gage (like a wide band) you'll be just shooting in the dark when you start modifying the jets and rods. Here is a site that sells the parts but if you aren't a carb repairman I'd send it off to have it calibrated. JMHO
