Dropped burb pics......finished finally
Had this 87' burb for three years and have only driven it a few times. Got it off of CL for a song with a bad trans. I think it to have 225k on it. It had a stack of receipts from all the maintenance done to it. I could never get it to sit just right when I lowered it. This is the third and final time.
Has djm dropped spindles and stock springs up front. 2" bell tech shackles and 1 spring pulled from saggy spring pack. It sits 1 3/4" higher in the rear. Has Koni shocks and new tires. 7" rallys up front with 225/70 and 275/60 on rear with 275/60 tires. I am not going to paint it. Going to drive it. Need tags & insp and a few details to be ready. I drove it an hour yesterday. So much fun!

Re: Dropped burb pics......finished finally
Very cool, I see you raised it up a little. I bet it's more road/driver friendly now.

Re: Dropped burb pics......finished finally
I want it lower, but have single cab dually project im workin on and thats where my money is going for now. Like this, I can drive it now. Its very comfortable. I want buckets in my other trucks now after driving this for an hour this weekend with them. With 3:73 gears and overdrive it just purrs down the road.
This is just a low budget extra ride I threw together. I have very little tied up in it. It was too nice to part out. I have a sweet spot for tbi.

Looks good Tony, you are right burbs and blazers are hard to make sit right. Any pics of the dually?

Re: Dropped burb pics......finished finally
Cochino12.................here are the pics. I am actually taking two trucks and making one. I looked and looked for a 1987 1 ton single cab dually with a SBC and automatic. I have only found one in all my years of CL. These two trucks fell in my lap the same week. So I decided to build one. Im taking the 3/4 and making it a 1 ton dually.
I never see dropped single cab duallys on the web. I wanted to be different. Its going to be all different colors on purpose. I want it to be ugly and get peoples attention. I will have my business name and number on it. Im thinkin tax write off Im running steels for now until I find a sweet deal on some used Alcoas.

Re: Dropped burb pics......finished finally
You told me you weren't buying any more trucks. You lied. What happened to saving your money to build a shop??? The truck habit is hard to get rid of. I have a torch now, MAN......and working gauges Donor for what???? One day, you will have as many trucks as I do. I found a burb close to me thats calling my name.

Re: Dropped burb pics......finished finally
If I wanted this exact stance but about 1.5 -2" lower what should I do? I already have Belltech spindles bought but nothing else.

Spindles and drop spring, maybe two inch. I just cut my stock ones with a chop saw 1/2 a coil. Flip kit for thr rear or dropped leaf springs.
