'50 3/4 ton VIN Plate

Is there a reproduction plate for a 3/4 ton '50 or do people just use the 1/2 ton plate? The 1/2 ton reproductions are shown below. I can just barely make out the LBS rating on my existing plate as "5800 LBS" compared to the "4600 LBS" on the 1/2 ton plate. Is "5800" correct or is it something else? Any help or pics from a 3/4 ton '50 will help a lot. Thanks.

I do believe I saw them before. I will try and see if I can find out where. Is your plate a different color than black? I know there were some different colored ones but I am not sure what the were on.

When I got the truck it was "ALL" black from a previous paint job. I used some paint remover to get it off but removd all the background paint from the tag. If I hold it just at the right angle I can see the lettering. I do believe it was a black background. I may just get a 1/2 ton tag and modify the GVW weight to the correct number "5800 lbs"

I'll keep looking but I haven't found where I saw those. It was a while ago. If you hotrodded your truck you could just replace it with the 1/2 ton tag and have your numbers stamped on one of those. No one would ever know the difference or care. If you are restoring then maybe you can find one. A while back I also saw a company that you can send your tag to and they will restore it and send it back. People that restore do that for cars without the aftermarket support like we have.

Not a restore but want to have a plate that wasn't just aluminum color. I'll probably just get a 1/2 ton and put my vin number on it. Like you said nobody will look or care about the GVW number as long as the title and Plate match.
