I bought a 72 3/4t 4x4 suburban and need it shipped. Any good companies you recomend??? I have a quote from Creative Rides Auto Transport, has anyone ever used this company?

give him a call he is pretty reasonable and it is an enclosed transporter

My 2 best quotes were $650, and I have a guy from the Yesterdays tractor board that might be able to haul it for $500. I'm out of town this weekend, so ill make a decision Monday or tuesday

carshipper.usa is the company the guy used that bought my truck and had it shipped to him. No issues there.... just shop around and visit a few forums and you will get the right idea of who to use

Avoid Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS).

I had my 69 shipped to me by them and the ripped off the exhaust, and then denied it (even though it was sitting in the bed). Went round and round with them and they still denied it.

The guy for $500 is coming this way with and empty trailer to pick up a tractor, he is not a business. Would you trust someone like that??

Ask for references. I guess i wouldn't rule him out totally. Price is right for sure. You can tell a lot from talking to a guy i think.

I thought about what i said a while after i typed it. I have gotten quite a few jobs when nobody knew me.

I have never ripped anyone off, or screwed up their vehicle.

Wish i had something going that way i would haul it for you.

I would but im in the trucking business..not cars but i know enough haha.. If he sounds like a good guy he prob is..hes a little bit cheaper because hes already headed in ur direction empty, Hes just looking to cover his fuel cost. So y not strap a load on and not come out of pocket for fuel? his load back is where he will make his money. I say win for everyone.

Try these guys . I've never used them myself but liked what I heard on the phone. A board member recently bought a 68 Burb in Washington State and I suggested he try these guys, which he did, and had it shipped to Illinois and he was very pleased with the price and very fast service.
