Radio delete plate
Can someone please post a pic of the correct radio delete plate for a '62 GMC . I've found the ribbed ones and the flat plate ones, and want to buy the right one for my year. Thanks

Re: Radio delete plate
I am no expert so I can't say 100% but if you search GOOGLE images this is the plate that returns under those search terms.

Re: Radio delete plate
I can confirm the ribbed one is correct for 1960. Don't know when or if they were changed in the GMC models.

Re: Radio delete plate
look at the glove boxes in the photos. ribs match the ribbed 60-63 gb door, flat more or less matches the 64-66 style.

Re: Radio delete plate
So I think with the 62gmc dash, the flat one would go better. There's nothing ribbed on the dash.

Re: Radio delete plate
gmc changed dashes in 64 like chev. the only thing really changed on the gmc was the radio (larger than the 60-63) and the heater control.
so in order to cover the hole the radio delete plate breakdown will be the same as chev. ribbed 60-63 flat 64-66.... however I don't see why you couldn't use a 6456 on your 62...
