Looking for RUST-FREE cabs, ANYWHERE

O.K. I know this is nearly impossible. I would like to locate two or three RUST-FREE cabs. I know that they are out there somewhere. Maybe out west in the hi-country desert, somebodies old bone-yard, etc.!!!

I'm planning a trip to SoCal early next year and I can make arrangements to p/u and haul them back east. I might be willing to pay a "finder's fee" for help locating said bodies.

Hey Fred,
.
I'm no body's hero!! Just a little crazy after all these years
Well, old age does make one do strange things. Actually. I'm planning a cross-country in a 40 year old truck pulling a "ultra-lite" travel trailer. The "Trek-in-the-Truck" is my "retirement reward" for myself. I lived in SoCal for several years and I'm going to visit old friends and attend the "Bakersfield March Meet" nostalgis drags
.
The trip to salvage bodies would be a separate deal. I would rent a box truck to haul bodies back east. This is a stand-alone enterprise.

I been searching for a trucking company running out west and coming back partially empty that could handle some cabs, but a couple guys I talk to run loaded both ways. It really bites.
.
I heard you. That's one reason this retired old dog is looking to make the trip himself.

You guys out there on the west coast could make a killing servicing us folks on the east coast with nice rust free cabs. I am in need of one myself.

Re: Looking for RUST-FREE cabs, ANYWHERE

Hey randy, I'll take the seat cover if you sell the cab. I need a blue and white houndstooth. :-)

If I have a big enough trailer I'd take a month off in jan or feb and cruise out there as buy a bunch, but I'd have to spend 5 k on a dang trailer. Lol

I have a 71 GMC (very solid cab) and a 71 motorhome cab that I am thinking of parting, also very solid, if someone is up to the challenge of turning the back of motorhome cab into a truck cab. Name: IMG_2616.JPG

Sorry randy, I was under the assumption you were selling just the cab, good choice to keep it together. Nice truck!

Who did you ship it with? From where to where? Cab only, or cab and rolling frame?

NO PROBLEM/NO HIJACK - I'm starting to put together a plan. I will contact several of the SoCal board members before leaving SC. I have a connection in San Clemente, and am working out some details. This may take some time to put together, but I'm definitely working on it.
.
Any and all suggestions are welcome!
.
KEEP IN TOUCH!
.
I gather I'm not the only East Coaster in need of rust-free sheet metal for our trucks ? ? ?
