1992 van suspension?

Anyone know if the front suspension on a 1992 full size fan is the same as the 71-87 trucks?

Nobody? Wikipedia says that it is the same but I was just wanting to confirm that with someone. If I can get the van cheap enough I'll just try it I guess.

The track width of the van is much greater, so the tie rod, crossmember and sway bar are different, as well as idler arm and pitman arm. The control arms, brakes, steering gear box are about the same, but vary some from year to year.

Re: 1992 van suspension?

I don't see how it can be. The steering box is located differently. As cheap as the 73-87 trucks are now, I wouldn't even try a van. If I bought a van, I'd pull the drivelive and smush the rest. Vans make great containers for loose scrap metal to go to the crusher.....
