what cam?
What came would fellow truckers put in a jasper 350? Stats on the motor are as followed: 350 (.030) stock bottom end 76 cc heads 1.94-1.5 valves with comp springs for up to .490 lift, roller rockers, flat top pistons, zero deck. trans is a turbo 350 with shift kit and 4.11 posi. The cam I have in hand is comp cams 280h. Would this cam work or should I go to the 270h. I really dont want to buy another but I will if I have to. Thanks. Also headers into 2 1/2 exhaust, edelbrock original torker intake, eddel. 1406 carb.

Rear end gears, stall speed, intended usage, compression ratio, exhaust type, vehicle weight, tire size, and other factors are what go into determining what cam you will be using. You have rather low compression with that motor and IMHO you'd be pretty miserable with more than 270 advertised duration on the cam and even thats stretching it with those gears and truck tires. I have no idea what a Jasper 350 is? I built my motor . Does that make it a Mikep 350 ?

You could your motor whatever you want but jasper engines are a company(endorsed be nascar) that sell reman and race engines.
Here we go GEARS-4.11, holeshot 2400,9:25-1,dynomax headers with 2 1/2 in exhaust (flowmaster muffs),vehicle weight I'm not sure of its a 65 chevy swb fleet side, 25.5 in diameter tires(295-50-15 15x10) thanks for the help.

with the low compression I wouldnt go much over that 270H cam. If you were to switch to a set of 64 cc chamber heads then the 280H would probably work well for you albeit with a higher stall converter. Much over 280 ( advertised) in hydraulics you start to have problems with the lifters pumping up at the rpm where the motor is building decent power though. I know they sell much larger hydraulic cams but they sell a lot of other dubious stuff too. Id say stick with the 270. If you have to buy a cam anyway you might consider the XE 268H cam from compcams.
BTW ... You pay NASCAR enough money and they'll endorse ANYTHING . No rocket science here.
