Inner Roof Replacement

Hello guys,
New here. I just picked up a '70 short bed fleet side. Its going to be getting painted this spring and Im doing the small amount of metal work now. The cab is in great shape....except the inner roof where the sun-visors mount. I already have the replacement panel that LMC sells but do not know where to weld it to the existing inner roof. Should I either butt join the welds or overlap the panels at the top inner curve. Ive tried searching here and google and have come across nothing. Can someone please tell me or lead me in the right direction on how to get this thing welded in. Oh and are they normally pretty tricky to get in, I see people with the outer roof off say they did it, and if that's what i gotta do Ill cut my outer roof off too. Thanks
