So my guage has been acting funny so i was looking at the wires today and the ground wire was about broke off so sure enough when i touched it it broke completly off is there a way to connect a new one right now i just put a spade connecter on the wire and visegriped it on is workin but would like to really fix it thanx

Nobody has any idea how to fix it do i have to take the whole sending unit out of tank or what

Its been a while but I think when I fixed one of my old gas gauge wires I soldered it back on.

So just soder the spade connecter to the other part

I took a very small drill bit and drilled a hole thru the flat part (where the ground wire connects to). I then connected a small wire eye loop to the end of the wire and screwed it thru the hole and it works great.
