H2 wheels
I have a 69 3/4 ton pickup with 8 lug wheels. Has anybody doublechecked
if Hummer H2 rims match up ? Is the hole big enough for the rear axle to fit through? craigslist is calling Santa- those chrome ones would look nice... thanks. |

I own a 2005 H2 and when I upgraded to new rims I put my stock h2 wheels on my 3/4 72 gmc. Pattern is the same, they don't look to bad either.

most late model factory and aftermarket aluminum rims use 60 degree conical seats where steel rims use 90 degree conical seats... newer trucks use metric lugnuts, ours use SAE....

I bought a set of chrome H2 wheels for my 69 CST/20 which I am currently restoring. So far, I've only put them on the rolling chassis. They bolt right on. Note that the 69s used 1/2" lug nuts rather than the 9/16" used later, and you can buy conversion lug nuts on eBay that will allow you to install the 2001-2006 Chevy caps used on the 3/4 ton aluminum wheels. I installed 265/65X17 tires which should be close in size to the 9.50X16.5 tires that were optional in 69 and hope clearances will be OK. Attached is a picture of how they look on the chassis. I put blue painter's tape on this one to see how the period correct bowtie color would look.

I think h2 wheels look better on any 3/4 ton chevy from the 60's to the 90's than they ever did on the hummer.
