NEW to the board, need some advice
whats up im new to the forums i see alot of you guys got some real nice rides. real quick info on what i got im working on a 1949 chevy 3100 delux cab. and i also have an 05 chevy reg cab. the problem i have is that my 05 has a ROUGH ride its lowered in the rear i did not lower it i bought the truck with it already lowered. it bottoms out over any and all bumps. just want to know what options i got to fix this problem and have a smooth ride. thanks.[IMG]

Welcome! I'd say a C-notch should get you some movement back, or you could bring the back up a little if you prefer.

Do you know how they dropped it? It looks like a 6' drop but with the axle still under the springs they either put on dropped springs, removed some leafs (not a great idea), or (hopefully not) heated them so they would collapse. Is it bouncy or just bottoming out all the time? It definitely looks like a notch is needed. You could also get shock relocators to try and get the shocks back to a good operating angle. Drop shocks will help also. I have Belltech Street Performance shocks on mine and happy with them.

thats my other problem i have no idea how they did it. its more bottoming out than bouncy.

Post some pics of the spring hangers, shackles and the springs. We should be able to figure it out from that

wow. well no matter how it was lowered unless you raise it back up you will have to c-notch the frame to get any kind a ride now. it was definitely dropped way too far to not have the c-notch
