Dual wheel conversion:

Would adding dual wheels to a 3/4 ton, or single rear wheel 1-ton put any undue stress on the rear axle---specifically the drum/mounting flange/axle bearings/studs etc.?

i don't know if the 3/4 has the same rear axle as the 1-ton---full float or semi float?

Re: Dual wheel conversion:

What year 3/4 ton? IIRC, they switched from the 14 bolt FF (same as 1 tons) to the 14 bolt SF sometime in the late 70's.

Re: Dual wheel conversion:

Doesn't really matter...any 8-lug rearend will handle a lot more than what you're talking about doing. The semi-floater actually has bigger axle shafts, 33 spline honkers.
