Re: freakin hilarious...
next time you have the tank out bend the float bar up almost an inch
i do it to prevent frozen gas lines, but it leaves amost a 1/4 tank when on E oh and if you do run out a lot change your fuel filter

Re: freakin hilarious...
I got spoiled with the low gas light in my 2008 Chevy truck. Then I started driving my wife's 1998 SS camaro with NO GAS LIGHT. Needless to say I've had to make the walk of shame to the gas station more than once. Working nights from 7pm to 7am sure can turn you into a dummy real fast! Especially if your so sleepy you forget to keep an eye on your gauges.

Re: freakin hilarious...
I ran out in a Mcdonalds drive through right after leaving the first window. Since I was against the wall I could not open my door, I could not steer from the outside so my 115 pound wife and her little brother ended up pushing it out of the way

Re: freakin hilarious...
I ran out of gas right near the top of an overpass, and fortunately had just barely enough momentum to carry me over the top, where I was able to coast into the parking lot of a gas station at the bottom of the hill. If some guy had not cut me off, I would have probably made it to the pumps, but had to push it the last 60-70 feet, which amused my wife greatly.

Re: freakin hilarious...
Damn that sucks I have had it happen a few times but I usually try to never let my truck get below a 1/4 tank so it don't run out and the wallet don't hurt as much when I fill it back up haha

Re: freakin hilarious...
I was towing my Cameo with my 2008 Dodge (I know, I know just as bad as that other 4 letter word) but the Low Fuel light usually gets me 60 miles...Uh once again I was TOWING...and for some reason this didn't compute. I passed 2 gas stations since I thought I could make it to the next one, where I planned to eat...Nope, didn't make it. For some reason people won't stop for a big tattooed guy with a beard and long hair. It was only about a 4 mile walk, so no big deal.

Re: freakin hilarious...
i normally fill it back up when it gets right before a 1/4 tank, but i was in my cammies (marines are not allowed to go into a gas station in cammies out in town) my wife was following me to the gas station and was going to pump my gas, didnt make it lol....love the comments i mean i came close a few times as a kid but not now it was embarrasing...the few times i drove my truck like that i was able to go pretty far...im thinking tune up time haha

Re: freakin hilarious...
I remember when I was part of the green machine you were allowed to pump gas and get milk....nothing more than that, and that was only if you absolutely needed it!

Re: freakin hilarious...
The day I got my DD214, I left work and went straight to the Harley Dealership in cammies. In walks the Wing Commander, and he asks me who I'm with, I say 1st CivDiv, Camp couch, who the **** are you with...he looked at me for a minute, (being a Cpl I don't think that was the response he was expecting) and then just walked away. I knew who he was from all the pics hanging around the Squadron office.
